The Plan
My First 90 Days: Let's Get to Work
Ashburn, thank you.
First, I thank God. On Election Day, when people asked me how I felt, I told them: let His will be done, and I’ll be happy with that. This was way above me. I’m just a man with a plan.
Thank you to my family, my friends, and every volunteer and supporter who carried this campaign. And if you voted for somebody else, my door is open to you.
Now it’s time to work that plan.
The clock starts when I’m sworn in
Day 1 is the day I take office, not Election Day. My first 90 days are about finding out where things stand, telling you what I find, and getting small, visible things done that don’t need a new budget line.
What you can expect
Right away
- Agendas posted before every meeting, and a plain recap within 48 hours
- If a motion I bring fails, you’ll hear it from me within a week
By day 30
- Set hours where you can find me
- A public report on where the city’s audits stand
By day 60
- A plain guide to who does what in Ashburn and who to call
- A meeting calendar and a guide to speaking at council
By day 90
- A list of the streets, water lines, sewer, and ditches that need the most work, and what it will take. That’s a list, not a promise that it all gets fixed in 90 days.
- One plain page on where the city’s money goes
- The first scorecard on the whole plan: done, moving, or stuck, and why
Those are a few of the 18 things you can check me on by day 90. Some I can do on my own. Others need a council vote or a partner, and I’ll be upfront about which. Follow all 18 on the roadmap, or see the full plan.
Before I take office, I need y’all
- Take the community survey. 92 of y’all already have, and roads are the top issue.
- Tell me which roads and ditches need attention. Potholes, clogged ditches, water backing up when it rains. Tell me where it is and what’s happening.
The roads and ditches form is a community effort from my campaign, not an official City of Ashburn service or work order. For emergencies, call 911.
Got a question or something I should know? Reach out to me.
Small wins now. Big plans on a schedule. Now let’s get to work, Ashburn.
