Sec. 74-67Notification required
Plain English: what this chapter covers
This chapter covers parade permits, displaying merchandise on sidewalks, and the rules utility companies must follow to put lines, pipes and poles in city rights-of-way. The old interstate sign rules here were repealed in 2011.
Written notification to the city manager from the utility is required prior to any of the following activities:
(1) Before any utility does any work to construct, install, maintain, remove or relocate facilities on, along, over or under the right-of-way in the city; or
(2) Construction adjacent to the rights-of-way in the city that require tree trimming within the rights-of-way.
