Sec. 74-73Default

Last changed 2008
Plain English: what this chapter covers

This chapter covers parade permits, displaying merchandise on sidewalks, and the rules utility companies must follow to put lines, pipes and poles in city rights-of-way. The old interstate sign rules here were repealed in 2011.

The registration statement shall remain in place for one year and renew each subsequent year automatically unless the utility is in default. The city manager shall give written notice of default to a utility if it is determined that a utility has:

(1) Violated any provision or requirement of the issuance or acceptance of a registration application or any law of the city, state, or federal government;

(2) Attempted to evade any provision or requirement of this chapter;

(3) Practiced any fraud or deceit upon city; or

(4) Made a material misrepresentation of fact in its application for registration.
