James Burgess for Ashburn City Council

ARTICLE III. BURNING ORDINANCE

Unchanged since the 2007 code
Plain English: what this chapter covers

This short chapter sets up the fire department and spells out Ashburn's burning rules. You need a free permit from Ashburn Fire and Emergency Services to burn natural vegetation, the burn has to be well away from houses and streets, and you can never burn trash, tires, plastics or building materials.

Editor's note— Ord. No. 06-02, §§ 1—5, adopted July 6, 2006, did not specifically amend this Code but is treated as amending art. III, §§ 42-61—42-66, in its entirety. Formerly, said article pertained to similar subject matter.
